Upper Block Give the Right Answer for Science Open-ended Questions is part of a series of two books written in accordance with the latest Primary Science Syllabus issued by the Ministry of Education. This book aims to provide pupils with a systematic approach to answering Science open-ended questions. The book comprises topics in four themes: ycles, Systems, Interactions and Energy. Each chapter consists of three sections - Key Concepts, Guided Practice and Practice.
Key Concepts
A section on complete-yourself notes with blanks is provided to evaluate pupils' understanding of the key concepts in each chapter, This section allows pupils to take note of the important keywords taught in schools.
Guided Practice
Pupils will be guided through the questions, > Hint
Hints are provided to help pupils tackle the questions. The hints aim to stimulate the thinking process of pupils and guide them in the correct approach towards answering the questions.
> Common Misconception
Common misconceptions are included in some questions to address the wrong understanding of concepts pupils may have. Pupils witl then be taught the correct Science concepts
Practice
The wide variety of open-ended questions is set to test and reinforee pupils" overall understanding of the Science concepts learnt, Answers are provided for all questions. A marking scheme with the keywords highlighted in the answers is given to facilitate marking and assess pupils' learning. Explanations are also provided for answers to more challenging questions It is hoped that through this book, pupils can achieve excellent results for the open-ended questions.
